Rockhampton Wedding Photography – Sophie & Justin

I’ve known Sophie and Justin for years. Well kind of… My wife has been friends with Sophie for 10+ years- and I’ve of course had a bit to do with her (and Justin) over the years. We all got to know each other much better in the lead up to the day and on the day too of course. It was a beautiful day from start to end. Everybody was relaxed and looked amazing. Basically a photographers dream. ; ).

I could wrap them for.. lots more words.. but I’ve got a big weekend ahead of me- so onto some of my faves from their day.

Rockhampton Portrait Photography – Various.

Well I guess I get carried away posting up Weddings- so I figured it was about time I put some portraits up. They’re always a bit of fun and I feel pretty lucky to shoot the range of portraiture that I do.
My philosophy is pretty simple. Make it a bit fun- take shots of people actually smiling! Anyways- here some various portrait shots. Thanks Amanda & Lyle, Sue & Gav, Shannon & Chris for letting me post up your captures.; ).

Maternity shots with Amanda and Lyle were a bit of fun. Amanda had plenty of great ideas. ; ).

Sue and Gav have 2 beautiful girls and since Sue’s mother was in town- figured it was time to get some portraits.

Shannon & I have some mutual friends- and it just so happened she was after some shots with her boyfriend Chris. These guys were great too. Thanks again for letting me post everybody!

Rockhampton Wedding Photography – Kieron & Alana

Well I’ve been terrible about getting things posted up! Been crazy hectic- but no more excuses- some shots from Kieron & Alana’s day down at Rydges. It was fantastic- they were both so relaxed & Alana was a beautiful bride. Not a real difficult day. ; ). As my Facebook page shows- yes- had a tonne of fun getting driven around while hanging onto the back of those awesome Rydges Golf Buggies!

The girls (bridesmaids) all had matching black robes- and it looked awesome in the captures while everyone was getting ready.

I love veils- here’s Alana having her’s into her hair. The frame before is a grimace of pain. ; (. But veils are fantastic and are 100% worth it!

Biloela Wedding Photography – Ryan & Michelle

I really like going on tour for wedding photography. It’s a great way to keep fresh and meet new people (and see old friends). Nothing wrong with Rocky & Yeppon- but heading out to places like Bilo is always good fun. Ryan and Michelle’s certainly lived up to my expectations. We agreed I’d head out on the Frdiay arv to find some suitable locations for the bridal party shots and I wasn’t disappointed. We found plenty of great spots. They were both troopers and we made great use of our 50 or so minutes of light.

10am start with the girls and it was tonnes of fun from the word go.

The Civic Centre was a great spot for some bridal portraits. Both Ryan & Michelle were great. Relaxed all day.

Chloe was a bit ill- but you couldn’t tell when the camera was looking at her.

I think this one was just after Chloe wiped slobber on dad. ; ).

The Wedding Expo

I think  I better post up something about the wedding expo (even though it was weeks ago). A huge thank-you to all the people that helped in getting our display together!

In no particular order a huuuge thanks to:
Letitia (my wife), Gene & Rae (from Generate PR) and Geoffrey & Katrina Sinclair (photo guru & cooking genius). I’ve had plenty of great feedback from the day- and just wanted to publicly thank them all!

A big thanks must also go the the organisers/hosts Rachael from Red Carpet Events & Deborah from Goldstone House in getting everyone & everything organised.
I don’t want to think about 2011 yet- but I hope to be there again.

Sorry no photos. My bad…
