Rockhampton Wedding Photography – Shannon & Tenille

Meeting with Shannon & Tenille a couple of days before their wedding and it just felt like having coffee with friends. Because it was. These 2 have some strange ability to make you feel good just sitting there. I guess a big part of it is Tenille’s smile. It’s just so happy- and it the perfect symbol of the person she is. Always happy to see you, say gday and ask how your day is going. Shannon’s the same- the kind of guy you can’t help but like. He spent the morning helping set up the reception with the rest of the boys.  A real hands on guy- and it was to not notice that he was more then simply interested in his own wedding. It was only after the day I had the persepctive to see that yes he cared about his wedding day- but he cared much more about Tenille’s. Proof in things like the surprise signs on the drivcway to the ceremony & the slideshow at the reception. Raises the bar of what us boys should do (sometimes a good thing). ; ). Great seeing you guys at Karyn’s & Simon’s- and hope you love the blog. ; ).

Rockhampton Wedding Photography – Ryan & Kim.

Yes it was my 30th birthday on the 6th of August. Lets get that out of the way. It was Ryan and Kim’s big day too. Wedding beats birthday- it’s a no brainer. I would never hope for (let alone expect) special treatment, but thank you guys- you gave it. Generally when the photographer is at the bar grabbing a beer and the groom gives him a disapproving look you know why. Ryan gave me THAT look because I was paying with my own money and tonight was his shout. There’s a whole bunch more to their wedding then how good they were to me- but I just wanted to get it out and I think its part of why I liked these guys so much. It was a day which meant so much more to them then simply 2 people.

The day had some many important factors.  It was a family celebration and they all knew how to party. Their was so many people involved in the day and they were all just so happy to be involved. And while yes it was a party the meaning of the day was never lost on them. Their was so much emotion shown at the ceremony- you couldn’t help but feel it.

Rockhampton Wedding Photography – Mick & Clarissa

Country people have a pretty good wrap. Friendly, relaxed and keen for a good time. I found that to be pretty accurate. Mick & Clarissa’s wedding was full of those kind of people. It was particularly easy to feel comfortable with the girls in the morning. Mary (mother of the bride) was making me giggle like a little kid right from the start.

Funnily enough- the boys were a similar story. They booked out the Dreamtime Cultural Centre and were just taking it easy- having some fun and solving the worlds problems over a few recovery beers. Mick (and Clarissa) took darn good care of me over the course of the day too- so thanks a million guys. Hope you both love the pics. ; ).

Rockhampton Wedding Photography – Adam & Maria

You know you have spent the day with a fantastic group of people when they invite you to head into town after their big day. Adam & Maria fit that mould (as does their bridal party).

Adam is one of the easiest going guys you’ll meet. Maria is as funny as she is friendly. Together they’re just seem to be happy. One of those couples who have fun together. And I like that- fun couples make for fun weddings. But even some people can take fun too far- I was very disturbed to hear about a certain bridesmaid crashing the wedding suite, as well as a hair dresser. ; ).

While everyone had a good time- there was still plenty of emotions about- particularly the minutes before the ceremony and during the speeches. Pleased to be there for all of it guys & hope you like the blog post!

Rockhampton Wedding Photography – Brad & Carissa

It was a few minutes before midday that I realised this wedding was going to be a mountain of fun. The girls were having a ball in their room along with some of the parents. The boys visited the Peter Brock Museum (great idea). Everybody was relaxed and laughing-and it was infectious. You couldn’t help but get caught up in it all. Jokes about a certain best man getting his hair cut 2 hours before the ceremony- things like that almost brought me to tears.Fast forward to the reception and it was more of the same. Some of the funniest speeches I’ll ever see/hear. The effort that Brad put into the garter toss was particularly amazing. No I wouldn’t even know where to start in to explain it. You just had to be there.

But there was more to their day then simple fun. The dresses, the emotions, the family and the friends- but I’m done writing so I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

And thanks again for everything guys! I’d like to think we had a great “fit”- you guys certainly looked after me. ; ).
