Lateesha & Doug

Within minutes of my first meeting with Doug and Lateesha it was made very clear that they wanted “different” wedding photography. Lateesha pointed out a framed image on the wall and said “yeah even that one is a bit too traditional”. No complaints here- sure we still knew we’d have to get the safe shots- but lets go for some other kind of shots too. I knew Doug just wanted Lateesha to be happy- he was happy as long as she was..

We did some engagement shots (posted up on FB) and agreed on how we’d approach things…

I rolled up the morning of (it was a Wednesday) to Goldstone House. I’d never shot a wedding there- and was loving it from the word go. The garden, the setting, the décor- all of it.
Lateesha was never less than completely enthused. You could tell she was just happy to be surrounded by her friends and family. I got to meet her parents in the morning too- and Peter and Liz were so proud and their emotion was obvious. There was no hiding their joy.

The ceremony setting (like I said) was fantastic- the images will show that. Plenty of shade, seating, space, privacy. Picked up the family shots & some location shots and then enjoyed getting some shots of the bridal party at some random spots and they all worked.

When it came to the reception- it was again a first for me at Customs House. Amazing… There was a bunch of guests who’d travelled from WA- I think that says a lots when your guests make a trip that big. They celebrated pretty well on the dance floor too!

On to the shots (that’s enough words I think)…
