Like anyone I take my job pretty serious. Not stressed/overly tense serious- but I believe in what I do. And here’s why.
Your wedding photos are so much more then then pictures taken during your wedding day.But what else are they? What makes them important? Why care?
Think time capsule.
In 30 years (when you are a bit wiser and a little nostalgic)- your images are record of the people you lived your life with. The ones that matter most. Friends, family and of course each other. Pictures you can show your kids- so they see what kind of people you were in years past. Show how the grandparents looked before an extra couple of years crept up. And yes- in the pictures you’ll look all dolled up and pretty so that’s a bonus.
So that’s what all the fuss is about. That’s why I care and why I think you should too.
And PS- those of you chasing a disk of images only- no worries- but make an album (even if you do it by yourself on the cheap) and put it away so that you have memories secure for future generations. Disks are good for like 10 years tops.
