98% of the reason I don't shoot portraits is professional respect. Aislinn Photo Art photographer Lesley Bom produces incredible portrait work. Her portraits(families/newborns/children) will always be levels above mine. She is a true creative: spontaneous, innovative, compassionate but with other undefinable characteristics- human qualities that help extend her work beyond that of a camera operator. I know people think a photographer is a photographer and that's ok. But my wedding/corporate skillset is different to her portrait skillset & I'm cool with that. She is perfectly fitted for portraits & is thoroughly committed to creating the best image/outcomes possible. I truly admire the standard of work that Lesley (and Tess) strive to produce and I'm proud to respect her work enough to not claim myself as a portrait photographer.
