Okay so if you’re interested in having me shoot your day- here’s the kind of thing you can expect…
We’ll have a pre wedding shoot- get to know each other a bit. I’ll get to know if you have any hangups (like if you don’t like your smile or how your arms look in photos). You feel a bit more comfortable with me as a result and there’ll be some nice pics of you both. Win win.
.
In the lead up to your day you can relax in knowing I’ll find some great locations for our bridal party shoot, and I’ll put together a bit of a schedule of your day as well as which combo’s you need for the family photos. We’ll be prepped.
.
And then on the day it’s all about playing it by ear. Sure we’ll have our plan- sticking to it as well as the day lets us- but things change and generally it’s not a big deal. We’ll always get lots of candids- the real events of the day. Not interfering with how your day is running- unless you’re having trouble with pinning that corsage on your dads coat like most people- I’ll be happy to help there and similarly tricky scenarios.
.
After a few hours you’ll forget I’m there. You can enjoy your day and I’ll just shoot the moments without ruining them. After the ceremony we’ll head off on location with your bridal party for an hour or two- keep things moving- try some different poses, have some fun and avoid too much double chin action. The plan is for you to like how you look in photos- so the amount of posing is different for every couple, depending on…. stuff.
.
We’ll then head back to the reception- I’m super keen to keep you on time and chances are I won’t ask you to smile for the rest of the night (except 1 for the cake cutting). I’ll be as sneaky as possible to get around and capture shots of you and your guests, speeches and all the other craziness which I can’t predict. For the record- I’ve never captured a wedding without shooting the reception- it’s where all the fun people hang out.
.
Generally I’ll call it a night after a few songs on the dance floor. I would have shot a mountain of pics to ensure I get just the right expression- you know the photos couldn’t have gone better and then’s all about testing your patience while I process your pics. ; ). Generally around 3-4 weeks for delivery of your wedding images. And yes- there is lots of subtle/tasteful editing- if you’re interested in reading about it go here.
.
If the above sounds like a good fit for your wedding day please send me an email or give me a call and we can arrange to catch up and you can tell me a bit about your day. Meetings can easily be arranged outside of office hours. To look through past weddings navigate via the weddings tab, you can also watch a wedding slideshow via Facebook by clicking here.
